My name is Laura and I created Treebark Pets, LLC in a mission to help create awareness to the desperate need of help in Florida animal shelters. There are many homeless animals here in the sunshine state that just don't get seen by the public and await their homes for far too long. So, what I'm trying to do is help them be seen, to help them shine in the public eye.
After 20 years of working with dogs in numerous places across the country, going to college, and trying to find my way in life, I went to dog grooming school. My rescue yorkie, Lily, who has now gone to the rainbow bridge at the ripe old age of 20, always needed grooming and I didn't trust many people with her as she was a puppy mill rescue and had a lot of anxiety as she got older. There are many dogs and cats in shelters that have been through trauma and hard times, just like my Lily, and I want to help them. Treebark Pets, LLC helps me fund my dream of helping shelter animals get the fresh new start they deserve. This is done by either fostering them to heal and grow, bathing and grooming to bring back that shine, or spreading their pictures, names, and stories. My goal is to help bring new hope to the homeless animals of Florida and for the community to see that they deserve a second chance.

I also make sure that all of the online packaging used to ship my products are 100% compostable and made from recycled materials. I care about the environment just as much as I care about homeless animals. I'm excited to see where this journey of entrepreneurship will take me and I hope you follow along as well!
